Blockbuster announcements by Capcom in Gamescom

Remember Me – Action Adventure Platformer

During their Gamescom press conference, Capcom announced a new action/adventure platformer game titled “Remember me”. The game is being developed by Dontnod and was previously known as Adrift. The game will take place in the year 2084 Neo Paris and will feature a female protagonist by the name of Nilin.

The game’s story revolves around Nilin as she fights alongside a group called “Edge” against “Memoreyes”, a large cooperation which buys and sells memories. ‘Remember Me’ will feature acrobatics similar to Prince of Persia games as well as free flowing combat akin to the Batman series of games by Rocksteady Studios. ‘Remember Me’ will also have stealth elements, adding lots of variety to the gameplay.

The missions will involve memory manipulation, as was displayed in the demo that Capcom showed during their press conference where our protagonist had to remix targets memories making them kill themselves.

Remember Me is scheduled to release on May 2013 for PC, Xbox360 and PS3.

New Character Announced for the Devil May Cry Reboot

Capcom and Ninja Theory have revealed that a new character will be joining the cast of the DMC (Devil May Cry) reboot. The statement was made during Capcom’s gamescom press conference that Ninja Theory is going to bring back a classic and much beloved character from the original series.

It was later revealed that the new character will be none other than Vergil, twin brother of Dante, the game’s main protagonist. It is as of yet unclear what role Vergil will play in the game. Vergil was primarily an antagonist in the original series of game. Capcom has also released a trailer starring Vergil.

Devil May Cry will be released for Xbox360 and PS3 in January 2013.
