All rumors regarding Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition making to other consoles have been discarded by Konami. It has been confirmed by the company that Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition will be exclusive for PlayStation 3 only, contrary to what retailers revealed earlier in November. Konami confirmed the news while speaking to Eurogamer.
Ironically, the same day as Konami announced the news, a listing of the special edition version for Xbox 360 console was seen, which led people believe that it will be launched on other consoles, other than PlayStation 3. The statement on the listing says, “Sorry, this product is not currently available to order. It’s a welcome return to the rumor. But there are no plans to release Metal Gear Solid 4 on Xbox 360”.
However, the speculation had sparked excitement in fans, as Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition will come with an assortment of new offerings, such as, trophy support and other add-ons. The title will hit stores in December and will sell for $30. The game is set to release in United Kingdom but there is no word regarding when the game, if it does, will be released in the U.S market and other territories.
