If you’ve been a Lara Croft fan, you can now play Tomb Raider head-to-head against multiple players. Crystal Dynamics, the worldwide leader in video games has confirmed that the upcoming reboot of the Lara Croft franchise will have a multiplayer mode as a part of its new features.
Until this point, Tomb Raider has always been a single-player affair, but now, the company has announced that the Next year’s reboot of the game will surely have multiplayer feature. The news was declared by Karl Stewart, global brand director of Crystal Dynamics, via his twitter profile.
There was already a lot of speculation about this new aspect in the latest Lara Croft reboot, especially when the United Kingdom retailer ‘GAME’ termed multiplayer mode as a key feature in Tomb Raider’s latest edition.
The details are still not clear, however one speculation is that, players will have control over Yamatai scavengers or Lara’s shipmates in various ways. The exact details will be announced in the official Xbox Magazine’s first edition of the year 2013.
The new reboot is expected to be released on March 5, 2013 and will be available for both Xbox and PS3 platforms.
