Developers To Receive Exclusive Red Z10

Red Z10BlackBerry is going to hand out 12,000 specially made limited version Z10 as a token of gratitude to the software developers who helped to create the BlackBerry10 OS and are now contributing by developing apps for the BlackBerry 10 platform.

Via a blog post, BlackBerry said that the company is most grateful to the developers and this is just a way of saying thanks. Unlike the typical Z10, this unique version will come in Red.

The new BlackBerry Z10 features a 4.2 inch screen with a stunning 356 resolution per inch. The Z10 runs on the latest BlackBerry10 OS. This slab styled smart phone has a back of textured surface and curving around the edges.

On January 30th Z10 was unveiled in New York. Peter Misek market analyst at Jefferies says that till now the device has been released in Canada and U.K and the devices are selling quite well.

During a recent ‘Portathon’ event held by BlackBerry, the company promised of gifts to all the developers and this is BlackBerry keeping its promise.

To get the new Z10, engineers must submit applications with necessary documents verifying their identities and contributions by February 28.

Those developers who have already received a BlackBerry Dev Alpha, can trade their devices for the red Z10.
