Witcher series is a relative new comer to the RPG scene, compared to some old and established franchises like: the Elder Scrolls and Mass Effect. Witcher series is the brainchild of CD projekt, a game developing company from Poland. It took the RPG world by storm in 2009 with their first installment of the series. Witcher games follow the exploits of Geralt of Rivia, a professional demon hunter. The hallmark of the game is deeply embedded storyline, awesome battle mechanics and crisp and awe inspiring graphics. The third installment of the game titled ‘Wild Hunt’ is scheduled for release in 2014 and is one of the top RPG’s to keep an eye out for.
Those who follow the novels written by Brandon Sanderson would be delighted to know that a RPG video game is being based on the books. It’s needless to state that the elements of the book have the potential of being made into a memorable and cult following gathering game. The storyline and the dialogue are being composed by the world renowned author himself, so fans can rest assured that the game would remain faithful to the book proceedings. This is definite a “must have” for all fans of the book series. Exact details about the developers and release date are however sketchy to say the least, but we are anticipating that it would make an appearance in the late half of the current year.
The Dutch game developers who brought us the every lovable Overlord series are at it again! Triumph Studios have announced that after hiatus of nearly eleven years, they are reviving the Age of Wonders series. The expected release date for this much-awaited and long overdue game is autumn 2013.
