Rumors regarding possible Nexus 5 device suggesting specs leaks have appeared online. According to tech website, AndroidandMe, an image of a Nexus 5 device prototype made by LG and codenamed “Megalodon” was sent by an anonymous tipster claiming to work for Google.
The site also says that the anonymous tipster indicated to an October 2013 release of the Nexus 5. At present, Google is going through multiple prototypes designed by several tech giants.
Alleged specifications are quite high-end and suggest an OLED display measured at 5.2 inch offering resolutions up to 1080 * 1920 pixels. Also, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor offering clock speed at clocked at 2.3 GHz alongside 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM will run the Nexus 5. The rear camera is 16 megapixel and the front facing shooter is of 2.1 megapixel supporting Full HD video capture. There are stereo speakers at the front position. The power for the whole device comes from a very powerful 3300 mAh battery. The phone will offer 3 storage options- 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. Also, the Nexus 5 supports terrestrial television broadcasts using integrated ATSC and DVB-T antenna. Gesture controls features might be included.
The “Megalodon” carries the traditional Nexus design with a thin bezel and a much curvier base.
