Razer Edge Tablets Introduced: Steam Software Pre-loaded

Razer Edge Tablets Yesterday, at Game Developers Conference, Razer had made a statement saying the gaming hardware maker has already joined forces with Valve and is planning to release new Razer Edge gaming tablets which will be shipped with pre loaded Steam software. Razer officials say that the new tablet devices are designed to perform avid gameplay utilizing both its home and mobile console modes. Also, with the Steam Big Picture, the Razer Edge tablets works significantly well, says Min-Liang Tan, Razer’s co-founder and creative director.

Valve’s product designer, Greg Coomer says that the new Razer Edge tablets are unique and powerful and ready to run any valve title you want.

The Razer Edge device is not only a typical tablet but also a fully featured mobile gaming device running Microsoft’s Widows 8 and capable of running all kinds of PC applications and games. The Razer Edge runs on Intel’s 3rd gen Intel i5 or i7 Core processors and boasts NVIDIA’s GeForce Series graphics equipped with Optimus technology. The tablet itself weighs around 2.1 pounds. The dimensions are 10.9 * 7 * .80 inches. Also, there’s a HD multi touch display measuring 10.1 inch. Other features include stereo speakers; Codec supports 7.1, microphones, Dolby Home Theater v4, HD webcam, 3.5 mm * 4 pole stereo and mic audio jack along with USB 3.0.
