Apple’s New App Store Algorithm

Reports emerge that the new mobile app ranking Algorithm developed by Apple has increased the competitiveness of the system by leaps and bounds. The algorithm takes into account ratings and many other variables to determine the “true” place in the charts.

Appurify, a Google’s firm, involved in app optimization and debugging states that the rankings now include the app ratings that can help propel the rankings to a new high, thus favoring many of the well-built apps into taking the higher positions. This is a remarkable way to quantify the rankings

The other thing that matters is the value of mobile app updating. Appurify has analyzed thousands of apps so far, including games, most of which are free apps. With increasing competition, every app had to have at least 4 stars to have any chance of even breaking the top 1000.
