David Cameron Criticizes Facebook for Allowing Beheading Videos to be posted

David Cameron, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), has slammed Facebook for allowing beheading videos to be shared on its website.

Facebook, which is one of the most popular social networking websites of the globe with more than a billion users spread all across the world, recently permitted gruesome videos to be posted as long as they are not posted in a manner of celebrating them.

The British Prime Minister, however, does not agree to the idea and condemned Facebook’s decision through his Twitter account. Cameron feels that the social media must behave in a more responsible manner and most parents would be worried by this decision of Facebook.

Defending its decision to lift the ban on content with graphic violence, Mark Zuckerberg’s company said that such videos are shared on the website to condemn them as Facebook is a platform of sharing real life experiences and controversial events.

Users are not allowed to post any content that is threatening to others, hate speech or sexually explicated material, as per Facebook’s present community standards. On top of that, groups or individuals with a criminal background are not permitted to maintain their presence on the social networking website.
