Instagram Unveils new Ad

Instagram unveiled a new ad that will appear in users’ feed in the future. The Facebook owned app, Instagram’s new ad was in the mix for some time and finally earlier this week they introduced it. The new ad will exactly look like Instagram post, however it will display sponsored content.

This is the first glimpse at the new ad since Instagram promulgated about it in October. In an official statement they said that they want to show ads from businesses that are interesting to the clients, and this will make the whole experience appealing for users.

Users will be able to see videos and photos from the brand that they don’t follow. Instagram has already booked ads from Adidas, General Electric and Levi’s along with few other companies. The company aims at working closely with few in the beginning so that they can ensure quality. In the same press release Instagram said that they want their ads to be engaging and creative.

Ever since Instagram merger with Facebook the aforementioned decision was in the rumor factory, as the revenue generated by such mobile ads works as a backbone for Google and Facebook. Today Instagram has about 150 million users and is expanding every minute. The benefits of such ads are limitless.
