Most experts expect a late 2011 early 2012 release of the operating system.

The PowerPoint slides undoubtedly look genuine although it cannot be said that they are in fact Microsoft’s internal documents. The slides reveal the inclusion of new features like USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0 support along with faster boot times and built-in facial recognition facilities.

The slides looks like a strategic overview, or a wish-list, of forthcoming Windows 7 features but there are some shockers as well which comprises of  the support for wireless displays, 3D display facility and a high end mobile computing devices. If we assume that the documents in the slide show are genuine, is that Microsoft seems to plan a Microsoft Store similar to the built-in software stores in mobile operating systems such as iOS, Android and MeeGo. I get so tired of Microsoft launching new operating systems every couple of years, instead of upgrading their latest operating systems to make them better. Vista was a catastrophe that they did not even support. I now have Windows 7, which the will likely stop supporting so we all have to purchase Windows 8. Arrgh!

Hi Allie A, you are spot on. Though they are releasing new OS every two years they are not continuing their support for older OS after that. A simple example would be that of Windows 7 SP1, which did not have any new features other than fixes. It looks like Microsoft wants us to buy a new OS every time they release one.

Live intelligence, Windows 8 should be with us in two years. One of Microsofts subsidiary companies leaked the awaited issue date over the weekend. Lets hope it pursues the Windows 7 development process. We do not need to have another Vista fiasco
