Vodafone 3G Services To Be Rolled Out Soon

Vodafone Essar, one of the leading telecom operator has revealed its plans to roll out its 3-G Services in a phased manner. Naveen Chopra, Vodafone Essar Director, quoted “We have a 3G-ready network, currently in optimisation which we will be launching very quickly”.

He added that, trials of 3-G services are going on and the services will be officially launched soon in the month of March in a phased manner. This roll out will be completely city based, not like the usual pan india roll out or state wise roll out.

The company is trying to exponentiate the revenue twice within 5 years. Vodafone Essar is also in collaboration with Wipro for fixed line service for customers. Chopra said that their company is capable enough as they have over 95,000 km of optical fiber and a 3G-ready network.

Vodafone Essar is hoping to bring in more revenues through these 3-G Services in India and there are tough competitors in this business like Airtel, Reliance, Tata Docomo etc.
