T-Mobile’s Sidekick 4G By Samsung Will Be Coming This Spring

T-Mobile finally discloses few features alongwith the images of its forthcoming Android-powered Sidekick 4G smartphone which will be launched during this spring.

We have been informed that the upcoming handset was first tapped by T-Mobile in order to restart the Sidekick brand (earlier models were manufactured by Sharp). The latest Sidekick will not incorporate the iconic rotating screen that was present in the previous models. As an alternative, it will flaunt a “pop-tilt” hinge that elevates the screen up at an angle to expose its hardware keyboard. Apparently this is going to be the first Sidekick having a touchscreen (3.5 inches).

Evidently, T-Mobile is planning to make the Sidekick 4G more than a mere messaging device resembling the original Sidekick versions. It will be running on Android 2.2 and include a 1 gigahertz processor. Moreover, it will attach a 3-megapixel camera in the back as well as there will be a front-facing camera to facilitate video conferencing.
