LG Will Launch Its Tablet Computer In Japan This Month

Though the present scenario in Japan is quite devastating due to the series of disasters, but LG Electronics Inc. seems to be determined to launch an Android-based tablet computer in Japan this month, when the entire nation is struggling for survival. We know apple recently postponed their iPad 2 launches in Japan considering the current situation.

Seoul-based spokesman of LG named Ken Hong said, “There’s no reason to believe there will be any delay from our previous estimate.”

NTT Docomo Inc. which is the exclusive Japanese carrier for LG’s Optimus Pad, have initiated taking advance orders for LG’s tablet computer on March 15 as originally planned, and the delivery of this devices will begin by the end of the month, as told by a spokeswoman named Naoko Minobe from Docomo.

Japan is among the first few countries where this tablet computer will arrive. The tablet will feature an 8.9-inch touch screen and operated by the latest version of Google Inc. (GOOG)’s Android operating system.
