Samsung Brings Two Tablets This Year

samsung tabletsSamsung recently updated its tablet range with the launch of 8.9 inch and 10.1 inch tablets at CTIA Wireless 2011 in Orlando.

The latest 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab will be coming with Honeycomb (Android OS 3.0), high speed multitasking, a 1GHz dual core processor, a WXGA 1280×800 display, 1080p HD video playback, a 2-megapixel camera for video calling in the front side alongwith a rear-facing 3-megapixel camera. This device is also HSPA+ enabled. According to the experts the Galaxy Tab 8.9 is also lighter than the latest iPad by 131gms. Samsung officials claim they have provided the device is powered by superior quality 6800-mAh battery.
The maker also unveiled its 10.1-inch version. Both the tablets are 0.34 inches thick.

The 10.1-inch Tab incorporates the new TouchWiz 4.0 user interface which is particularly designed for Android 3.0. Some exceptional features are also found in this UI including the Live Panel, Mini Apps Tray plus a social hub that combines social networking websites into a single interface. Reportedly the 10.1-inch Tab will arrive on June 8, and the 8.9-inch slate is probably hit the stores “early this summer”.
