Samsung Soon To Bring Series 7 Convertible Tablets

According to our industry sources the release of Samsung’s Series 7 Sliding PC is coming soon.

Our reporters had a quick look at the Samsung’s Sliding PC 7 at the Consumer Electronics Show which was held in January. Samsung executives stated that they took some ideas of the hinge technology and expertise from its handset business to develop the Series 7. After it is finished, the Series 7 looks quite like a slate tablet, but when its the display slides backwards and tilts up it gives an impression of a netbook having a full-size keyboard.

The Series 7 is available at $649 and it features with a 10.1-inch display (1,366×768), along with 1.5GHz Intel Atom Z670 processor, plus 2GB of memory and 32GB of storage. Apart from this it has incorporated Windows 7 Home Premium (little less than the listed price of $700 that Samsung provided at CES). It is expected that the Series 7 will be one of the first Oak Trail devices to arrive at the market, though Intel claims that there are further 35 tablets and hybrids similar to this.
