Asus Tegra 3 Based Tablets coming Later This Year

asus tabletTwo months ago Asus plunged into the tablet industry with its latest Eee Pad Transformer tablet. Now, a report has been published in DigiTimes  which reveals that Asus is planning to bring quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 (T30) based tablets later this year. 

In mid-February 2011, we came to know about Nvidia’s hi-end Kal-El chip which might be dubbed as Tegra 3 (T30) will comprise of quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU and offer five times better performance than Tegra 2. Asus is set to launch Tegra 3 based tablets later this year. Aside from that, the company will bring 10-inch Eee Pad Slider EP102 as well as 7-inch Eee Pad MeMo EP71 in the next three months.
Asus has constantly been the leading netbook manufacturer. Currently the company is gearing up to compete seriously in the tablet segments also. Though, looking at the inclination of giving hardware bumps to tablets, we truly expect that actual functionality of these devices enhances as well.
