Apple Becomes ‘Most Valuable Global Brand’, Ousting Google

AppleApple receives the prestigious honor of ‘most valuable global brand’, by snatching the top position from Google which it had held for last four years.

According to Millward Brown Optimor, who studied the BrandZ , Apple has been successful to raise a huge 84 per cent in value year on year and presently it is one of six technology companies that leads the top 10.

This year has been prosperous for technology segment, as Facebook made the top 100 for the first time – the popular social network grows in position to number 35.

Amazon also passed a milestone this year by overtaking Walmart as the top most retail brand in the world.

On the whole technology and telecom products make up a third of the top 100 brands, compared to a quarter in 2006.


Altogether, Apple has managed to raise its valuation up from $83,153 million in 2010 to $153,285 million in current year.
