Google Launched Corporate Map Service

google GIS service Google started to bring a range of new products into the corporate map market. An industrial source on May 23 reveals, Google Korea has started its sales activities for its cloud based geographical information service (GIS) for Korean companies. Google authority confirms that its cloud GIS service is much cheaper than the existing GIS services. Besides that, companies which are using Google’s map service free of charge should switch for commercial services. 

Samsung Electronics has signed a deal to make use of the Google map premium service by paying around 50 million won for about 800 employees a year to set up an asset management system. Presently, Samsung Electronics is in the midst of combining systems to get necessary information on Google maps. 

Google will bring its cloud GIS service in the Asian countries including Korea at the end of this month. The company started the service in Australia and Singapore in January.
