Samsung Galaxy S II: 3 Million Sold But Still Unavailable In The U.S.

The latest flagship Android model of Samsung has been successful in terms of units sold worldwide. In its first 55 days alone the Samsung Galaxy S II has already sold 3 million units however this figure does not include the U.S. market. This is because until now it is still unclear when the release date of this model in the U.S. will be made.

Samsung Galaxy S II 3 Million Units Sold

The Samsung Galaxy S II was first revealed by the company during the Mobile World Congress held last February and was initially released in South Korea last April 29. It features several key improvements over its predecessor. It uses a large 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display that produces the best color output possible. It now runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and uses a 1.2 GHz processor.

Samsung’s original Galaxy smartphone was quite successful selling just over 10 million units. Once this model hits the U.S. market it should be able to increase further its sales.
