Report: Apple To Open Their Largest Store In New York’s Grand Central Terminal

Apple Store at GCTApple is going to open a new store in New York City’s Grand Central Terminal in the near future as deal on the rent of 23,000 square feet has been done. In a 10-year contract, rent of the place is set to be $800,000 a year, the contract also includes that Apple will pay all of the remodeling expenditures. This will be the largest Apple store in the world.

This news is reported by the New York Post as they disclosed the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) documents. According to the report MTA must approve the deal on Monday, after which it will appear in front of the agency’s board of directors on Wednesday for final approval.

On this deal Apple spokesman Nick Leahy said that “Our four stores inManhattanare incredibly popular with customers and we are excited to bring the Apple retail experience to this incredible location,”

Back in February we heard a rumor that Apple is looking to open a new store at Grand Central location, but finally it looks like that now Apple is in position to build largest and fifth Apple store in the New York City.
