Microsoft Software Donation Program Is Now Available In 35 New Countries

Microsoft Software Donation ProgramMicrosoft has renewed its Microsoft Software Donation program in order to ease the process of getting Microsoft products at more affordable rates for non-profit organizations.

Microsoft is currently working with TechSoup Global on this program that is a non-profit organization. Akhtar Badshah – senior director of global community affairs at Microsoft said that 35 new countries are also added in the software donation program. These countries are: Australia, Belgium, Botswana, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia,  Czech Rep., Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, and the United States.

Three new categories of non-profit organizations including: medical research organizations, private foundations, and amateur sports and recreational organization have also added in the Microsoft Software Donation program. Microsoft also added new four software products to the program in which three of them are: Windows 7, Office 2010 and Microsoft SharePoint 2010.

Software giant Microsoft has already donated software products of worth $3.9 billion to more than 40,000 non-profit organizations since 1998.
