Foxconn To Replace Workers With 1 Million Robots

FoxconnFoxconn has announced that it will replace some of its workers with 1 million robots in the next three years to cut the labor costs. This will improve the efficiency of the company and thus increase in profits. The other reason to replace workers with robots is to overcome the stress problem with labors as some labors suicides in the past.

Foxconn is the world’s largest manufacturer of computer components. The Taiwanese company manufactures products like laptops, mobile devices, and other hardware for Apple, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, and Sony.

According to the Terry Gou – founder and chairman of the Foxconn, “The company currently has 10,000 robots and the number will be increased to 300,000 next year and 1 million in three years.”

This must be a very bad news for the labors as a number of labors will lose their jobs if this announcement turns out to be accurate.
