Facebook Launches Messenger for Mobile

Messenger for MobileSocial networking giant Facebook launched its new messenger for Apple’s iPhone and Android devices known as Messenger forMobile. This app looks a copy of the Huddle, a Google+’s feature that allows you to text groups of people or individual friends in Google+ Mobile.

According to the Facebook Engineer Lucy Zhang, the new app can be used to send messages to Facebook friends and the other users as well who are in the user’s telephone contact list. The Messenger forMobilealso allows photo sharing and location sharing facility using which you can share your photos and/or location in the message with your friends.

“When you’re on the go, coordinating a bunch of people can be tricky, especially if plans change at the last minute,” Zhang said. “With Messenger, you can quickly start a group conversation and message everyone at once.”

The Messenger for Mobile is available for free, and it is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad that run on OS 4.0 or later, Android and BlackBerry devices are also included in the list.
