Intel Cedar Trail Platform Will Be Available In November

Cedar Trail-M Its look like Intel’s Cedar Trail-M chips are likely to hit the markets in November rather than September because of some graphics driver issues. According to a report of DigiTimes, unnamed sources associated with notebook players claims that the main reason behind the change in schedule was due to issues with graphics drivers and it needs to be solved to get Windows 7 certification approved.

The Cedar Trail platform is the successor to several Atom models and it will be based on 32nm technology. Intel’s new platform is available in two versions: Cedar Trail-M and Cedar Trail-D, Cedar Trail-M is for netbooks while the other one targets nettop. Both versions feature NM10 chipset with some different configurations.

The Cedar Trail-M platform’s two new CPUs are: N2800 (1.86GHz) and N2600 (1.6GHz), with prices of US$47 and US$42 respectively.
