Ford Fixing Defective Touch Information System ‘MyFord’Ford, encountering criticism due to the quality flaws of its MyFord Touch info system, is preparing for a major upgrade with an expectation of fixingthe problems and retrieving its reputation, as reported by the Associated Press.

In the earlier part of the next year, Ford is likely to send flash drives with built in software upgrade to about 250,000 U.S. users with MyFord and MyLincoln Touch which is an equivalent system in its Lincoln brand.

Users can easily upgrade the features themselves in only 45 minutes. Alternatively, dealers can do the upgrade for free. Ford is still revising its plan that how it can offer the required upgrade to 200,000 customers outside U.S.

Ford is aware of the fact that no other car company is entitled to upgrade its software according to this scale. Thecompany encountered a decline from 10th to 20th place in the annual reliability rankings given by the consumers due to the MyFord.
