Asus Brings Quad-core Eee Pad Transformer Prime Tablet In Global Market

Wednesday Asustek Computer unveiled their latest the 10-inch Eee Pad Transformer Prime tablet with quad-core processor. It is expected that Eee Pad will be the fastest tablet in the market.

The tablet will have incorporated Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor together with Google’s Android 3.2 OS. Asus will soon upgrade the device to Android 4.0, which has been code-named Ice Cream Sandwich.

The estimated prices of this high speed tablet will be between $500 to $600, according to its configuration. Asus officials inform Eee Pad will hit the worldwide stores in December. The tablet weighs nearly 1.29 pounds (585 grams).

While majority of highest selling tablets like Apple’s iPad 2 and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab offers dual-core processors, Asus’ Transformer Prime will be the first tablet which will be coming with a quad-core chip. The Transformer Prime will be able to run multimedia and applications much faster, with more processing power provided by the four processing cores. Now let us see whether it can beat the Apple’s iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab in near future.
