Amazon Augments Kindle Fire production

Amazon Kindle Fire productionAmazon has boosted“Kindle Fire” tablet production having extra 5m units prior to the endof the year, as revealed by the supply chain sources.Original estimates of the production were more or less 3.5m units for the present year. DigiTimes highlighted the figure has already bumped onceto 4m during mid-Q3. However, the risk of potential advertisement loss of the eBook retailers and modelssupported by media-sales has been emphasized by a new $79 Kindle tablet suggesting more than $5 loss per sale for Amazon.

Amazon is strongly including contents on both its former Kindle models and the new Kindle tablet, providing lower cash surplus on the device sales expectingthat eBook downloads, music and video purchasesand rentals, will compensate for that.

That strategy will need to bring surplus if Amazon wantsto survive the increasing demand for Kindle Fire. Analysts of iSuppli determined the bill-of-materials estimates.

Nevertheless, Amazon has to release the pre-order statistics for the Kindle tablets.
