Non American Customers Remain In Dark Following The Data Breach At Zappos

Data Breach At Zappos Zappos.com, an online shoe & apparel shop, has been advising than 24 million customers with a view to changing their passwords due to the recently occurred data breach, although the website is now inaccessible to the non U.S people.

On Sunday, Zappos’ employees have received an email from the company’s CEO Tony Hsieh, alerting them on a potential security breach jeopardizing the customer database.

Hsieh said in email, “We have victimized by cyber criminals who partially accessed to our internal network & systems through a server in Kentucky. Consequently, we are now cooperating with the law enforcement agencies to undertake an exhaustive investigation”.

Even though Hsieh assured the officials that the credit card details hadn’t been compromised yet, he revealed that the cyber attacker accessed the customer records of the site that included names, billing, emails, shipping addresses, Cell-phone numbers, and last 4 digits of the customers’ credit card numbers.
