Virtual-reality glasses called “Project glass” unveiled by Google

A long-rumoured conception termed as “Project Glasses” was finally unveiled by Google on Wednesday. The glass takes up all the functionalities of any smartphone and fixes it upon a wearable gizmo which a resemblance to that of an eyeglass.

The lens is see-through and is capable of displaying everything starting from maps to text-messages to reminders.  Apart from these, it is also adept in capturing photos, showing video-chats, recording notes and also providing directions (turn-by-turn); all these are accomplished by the gadget with the help of voice commands. This concept has been described by the company in a concept-video, which has been released in YouTube.

Google said that this is a stealth project and is nowhere close to completion and has been unveiled only to gather public feedback. It is also mentioned from the part of the company that a small squad of engineers are working on its development for the past two years.
