Microsoft To Release Windows 8 ‘Release Preview’ In Early June

Microsoft is planning to unveil a “release preview” version of Windows 8 which is all set to be released during the first week of June.

Yesterday this announcement was made by Microsoft President Steven Sinofsky during an on-stage appearance at Japan’s Windows 8 Dev Days and more largely on the Build Windows 8 Twitter feed.

The release preview is following a beta and it is the last stage prior to a product’s final version. The beta, or consumer preview, of Windows 8, was unveiled on February 29. According to media reports the final version of Windows 8 will be coming this October.

Windows 8 is going to be a big experiment for Microsoft. Windows 8, which is trying to combine Microsoft’s flagship OS on the desktop as well as tablet, and it is “the most integrated and most capable operating system Microsoft has ever put out,” as said by CNET Reviews Editor Seth Rosenblatt.
