On Wednesday they have launched a high I/O quadriple Elastic Cloud Computer which includes 2TB SSD backed storage. This rentable server runs on a virtual eight core processor and sixty GB RAM with ten GB Ethernet connectivity. in a blog post Amazon said that this EC2 instances are a good host of NoSQL databases like Mongo DB and Cassandra.
One of Amazon senior web server analyst said that most of the mobile apps require High I/O and those need to store and retrieve data into and from the cloud in order to provide great personalized experience. They must act fast on clicks to deliver a gesture like real time. He included that users can have more than 120,000 random inputs and outputs per second. This is why they have put a high quality server for purposeful developers.
