Blackberry 10 Smartphone Launched | What’s New?

BlackBerry 10RIM BlackBerry developer conference known as BlackBerry Jam Americas is in progress at San Jose, California where RIM CEO Thorsten Heins made quite few especial announcements for the next year 2013 that his company is currently doing in order to reclaim the formal glory of BlackBerry that was lost because of the huge demand of the Samsung Android smartphones and Apple iPhone.

Among the announcements, Apple launched its upcoming BlackBerry 10 OS and BlackBerry 10 smartphone that will run the new BB10 OS. The new BB10 is expected to release in the start of the next year while BB10 smartphone will hit the markets during the first quarter of the next year.

The BB10 smartphone is expected to be the most powerful smartphone among all the BlackBerry devices and according to the RIM CEO the BB10 smartphone is almost as powerful as a laptop so one can expect some solid hardware and top-notch specs in the upcoming smartphone.

There is also a slight change in the physical shape of the new BB10 as this time there will be no more round edged device from the BlackBerry, in addition there is no physical QWERTY keyboard as well, which is replaced by the touch-screen keyboard.

RIM is also encouraging developers with a new promotion scheme that guarantees the developers $10,000 by submitting BlackBerry 10 apps. Thorsten Heins also mentioned that Android developers will be able to easily port their apps into the BB10 App World that is quite promising especially for the Android developers.

At the moment BlackBerry is on the 3rd number among the mobile platforms and with the launch of BB10, RIM is hoping for some better results.
