Samsung to Introduce two Smart Watches – Gear 2 and Gear Neo with Tizen OS

Samsung, in one of the biggest wireless trade parties of the year – Mobile World Congress – is all set to reveal two innovative smart watches, Gear 2 and Gear Neo, along with its smartphone, the new Samsung Galaxy S5. Rumor has it that Samsung is likely to introduce its own operating system – Tizen – independent of Google Android.

Samsung Gear 2 offers a Bluetooth connectivity, standalone media player as well as an infrared and heartbeat sensor – clearly aimed to beat its competitors in the smart watch market. Gear 2 features 1GHz dual-core processor, Tizen operating system, 1.63-inch Super AMOLED; 320×320 pixels screen, 512 RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a range of colors, i.e. charcoal black, gold brown and wild orange.

Gear Neo owns the same specifications and colors as that of Gear 2 but without a camera. It will probably be cheaper and a bit lighter, too.

Apple iWatch, seemingly a tough competitor of the Samsung Gear 2, is lagging behind on fitness check. But for the actual result, we have to wait for mobile trade congress in Barcelona, Spain. Clock is already ticking down; stay tuned with us for the live coverage of the event.
