Lemon Mobile Set To Launch World’s First Dual SIM Android Phone

Lemon Android phonesLemon Mobiles, an Indian mobile brand, plans to bring the Android-based dual-SIM mobile phones very soon.

Lemon Mobile’s Product Head, Rohit Arora has confirmed the press that they will be launching Android 1.6 handsets in the ‘near future’. It will be the world’s first dual SIM Android phone, and will contain the features like push mail, and a 400MHz processor. The detailed specifications of the dual SIM mobile phone are yet to be revealed. Mr. Arora also said the company would try to incorporate more innovative features in a most affordable price tag.

The mobile company that currently sources its handsets from China, is soon going to set up their own manufacturing unit at Rourkee (Uttaranchal) where the company will assemble handsets and later start manufacturing mobilephones here.

Lemon is planning to launch an application store in 4-6 months. The store will present a variety of free and paid applications. Lemon is soon introdcucing iQ 505 which will be preloaded with “Lemon Twist”, an application suite with a planty of offerings. Lemon has jointly worked with various third party developers like Atom for m-Commerce, Mapmyindia for maps on mobile, Sanptu for social networking, Nimbuzz for online chat.

Currently, with 300 service centres strong base, the company begins to strengthen its services profile. As per the latest report Lemon will also be announcing 3G handsets. These handsets will be entry level 3G enabled devices, priced at Rs 3000-4000, that means the handsets will be designed to serve the low budget cell phone buyers.
