Acer Brings Honeycomb Based Iconia Tab A500

Acer finally unveils its Iconia Tab A500. This 10.1-inch large tablet is designed to facilitate Web browsing, social networking, e-book reading as well as listening to music, watching videos, playing games and many more. Just like Motorola’s Xoom, the Acer’s Tab A500 is also powered by Android 3.0 Honeycomb it is supported by dual-core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 250 SoC, which offers faster 1080p video playback as well as mobile gaming. Actually, Acer will be shipping this tablet with free copies of the games named Need for Speed: Shift and Let’s Golf installed (the previous is available at $5 via Android Market). The slate features a 1280×800 display along with 80-degree viewing angles and the facility to register input from all 10 fingers. You will receive a 1GB of RAM, plus 16GB of internal storage (a 32GB model is in the works), in addition to a microSD card reader that can accommodate up to 32GB cards. Moreover, the device flaunts a 5MP rear camera with flash and auto-focus along with a 2MP front cam.
