Samsung Wave – The First HD DivX Certified Phone

The Mobile World Congress 2010 has got over long before, in which the Samsung Wave was one of the main topics that was discussed there. The Samsung wave is the first handset that has made debut being the first Bada OS based handset.
The Samsung Wave is a well-mannered little phone which features with a “Super” AMOLED 3.3-inch touchscreen display and a 800 x 480 pixel resolution. This act as a Social Hub for its users to stay in touch with friends and Samsung’s new TouchWiz 3.0 user interface enable to achieve it.
It is the first conventional mobile device to give support for Bluetooth 3.0 ND offer 802.11n Connectivity.

That is not the only advantage that it has got, it is now clear because Samsung has discovered that the Wave is the first in the world for a mobile phone to get DivX certification for playing back 720p HD content. Samsung also has just informed that i9000 Galaxy too would be DivX certified very soon.
The Samsung Wave not only capable of playing 720p videos but also is capable of recording videos in 720p resolution, which makes it different from other mobiles. But, this is not the first phone to do so, other Samsung phone which is capable of doing this is, the S60 based Omnia HD. HD video recording has recently brought into other mobile features also like the Sony Ericsson Vivaz and the Samsung i9000.
