T-Mobile’s Redmond Based Call Center To Shut down Unemploying 359 Workers

T-Mobile’s Redmond Based Call Center T-Mobile USA has announced on Thursday that the company would shut down its Redmond call center & lay off 359 workers. The announcement has come following assurance of local & state leaders about keeping the centre open.

The reason for such gruesome decision of the company can be traced back to its loss $39 billion for not being taken over by AT&T Inc. due to the interference of federal government.

On the contrary, Bellevue, a Washington based company has planned to shutter seven of its twenty four call-centers firing 1,900 nationwide employees though the company has planned to spare Salem operations. Bellevue intends to invest approximately $4 billion for its planned network upgrade. The company expects that such investment will make them survive in the increasingly competitive wireless space. However, it already lost over 800,000 mobile phone subscribers during 4th quarter of the last year.

However, The Redmond layoffs are anticipated to be implemented in 22 June, following the financial support of $850,000 gained by the company nine years back.
